Walking!!!
Trevor is walking! I am so excited. He has taken as little as 3 steps all the way to 10 at a time so far. I do not have any pictures yet because I am not quick enough, but I am hoping Thanksgiving day I might catch some. You know some people keep saying, "Oh you are in for it now" and other negative comments, but they said that about crawling too and I just don't believe it. I don't care that he is all over the place. I actually love the chase. I can not wait to see him dart out the back door to play outside with me running after him. Or when he runs to Jas and I to give us a big hug. The thought just puts a smile on my face. Even though I am sure his temper tantrums may increase, overall this experience is going to ROCK!

Some Random Fun
Trevor's 1st Shot
Just a little background, at first I was really skeptical about taking Trevor to get his shots because of what others had told me. At the time, I did all of the negative research on immunizations which was probably not the brightest thing I have ever done, but being a first time mom I was depending on other mothers' guidance. Do not get me wrong, everyone is entitled to their opinion and just because I have swayed a different way now, does not necessarily mean the other side is wrong. I have just found that this is best for my sweet Trevor. Now that I have started a play group and Trevor goes EVERYWHERE with us, I feel it is vital that he have these shots that protect him. I did not realize the diseases that are out there among kids. And where shots can have a negative effect on babies, that is a 1 in a million chance and mostly happens when they have 4 or more shots at a time, before 4 months of age. So I prayed about it and I feel very confident that this is the right thing to do.
Trevor had his first shot on Friday. I was so nervous for him because I didn't want him to hurt. Well, my prayers were answered and he actually laughed when he got his shot! The nurse had him so distracted that he did not even realize what happened. Even though I massaged the area, he still had some swelling and redness, but that was the only negative effect. Now we just have 2 more shots to catch up. I hope he laughs every time. Here are some pictures of his sweet, smiling face the evening after his shot. He is such a trooper.

Quilting Update
I know it looks almost the same as the last picture, but this is an update. The pattern is different after 3 hours of replacing everything. And after much aggravation and a few swear words(I know I am sorry)and the help of Codi & my mom, I have finally sewn the whole face of the quilt together. Now all that is left is sewing the front, filler and backing together. I have to hand sew the border, which will probably be another challenge, and then I will finish by tying it off. I can't wait to see it done, if I make it through without ruining it with my temper.

Renaissance Fun
I had never been to the Renaissance Festival before until last Saturday. My mom took me for my birthday with some of our close friends. It was really interesting. The village was way cool, the food was delicious, some of the shows were pretty funny, but the girls in thongs were disgusting along with a few other things. I'll definitely go back, but I am thinking Trevor is not going to be aloud to go until he is at least 18!!! I am not sure adults should even see and hear some of the stuff that goes on!

Quilting Project
I started my first quilting project. I have been wanting to do this for awhile and the perfect reason to get on it finally came up. One of my best friends that I have known since she was 18 months old is having her first girl this coming March. She has been such a special friend for so long that I wanted to do something extra special for her. I am hoping this will be something she can cherish for a long time!
So far I have cut the backing and all of the squares. The hardest part so far has been placing all of the squares in a pattern that I like. I have a feeling it might change slightly before I start sewing because I am not a hundred percent happy with it yet. I bought the cutest, most fun hot pink yarn to tie it off with. I totally can not wait to see the finished product. Total there are 99 squares that I have to sew together! Yikes this could take some time. By the way I have never successfully used a sewing machine before:). We will see how well my momma trains me.
