Friends

I wanted to take a moment to express some of my feelings about friendship. A few of my friends have really touched my heart lately and they probably don't even know it. They have inspired me to write this. I am warning you ahead of time that my brain is all over the place so this may seem a little scattered. Please not that this is not to offend or make anyone feel guilty.

Friendship is loving, happiness, selflessness, humble, supportive, caring, generous, understanding, kind, trusting. It is not prideful, selfish, vindictive, competitive, ruthless. One who is a friend does not gossip about, tear down, despise, envy to the point of jealousy.

Throughout my short 25 years I have experienced many of theses qualities in many different friends. I have lost several best friends causing me to have a great deal of sorrow. Yes, I have even cried over losing a friend. Please don't take this the wrong way, I know that I am not a perfect friend, but I do know that I try. Everyone has faults. I think until you accept your own faults you can not be a true friend. "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle", I absolutely love this quote. How different would friendships be if we all followed this advice?

I pray that my friends will look at me the same way I look at them. As an Angel. I really feel that is how God sends us help sometimes. I can't even count how many times a friend has come to my rescue. So I guess I want to just say thank you to my Sweet Angels' that have stood by my side in this battle on earth. With you, this world is a better place.

Americas

We went to Americas Friday night with Alex and Kaylen. We were going to go to the Red Cat Jazz Club, but they lost our reservations and it was going to be $80 for all four of us to get in the door which they did not tell me over the phone when they confirmed our reservations. Then we would have had to pay for dinner on top of that. Now, if it was a bad ace concert and someone I really wanted to see and not just a local jazz band, then maybe it would have been worth it. So instead of Downtown we spent our evening in Uptown Houston. By the way Kaylen is preggo 7 weeks now. Congratulations!

Nap Time. I just can't get enough of these sleepy pictures. He just looks so peaceful that it reminds me of what heaven must be like!

Daddy & Me

This is what a typical evening at the Joyner's house looks like lately. Jason and Trevor horse around and have some fun while I cook dinner. I am so glad I have Jason. He is the greatest husband and dad ever!

Happy 16th Birthday

I took my cousin out for her 16th birthday. We went to the Galleria where I let her loose to do her damage and boy did she ever! Just kidding, I gave her a budget and this is the outfit she picked out. We even bought nail polish and eyeshadows to match the outfit. Way cute and stylish for a "sweet sixteen" birthday. I think every girl should be spoiled like this on her birthday. Then I took her to the Nordstroms' cafe for brunch since she had never been there. I hope she had a blast. Happy Birthday Wanda!
